The Murrumbidgee Catchment Management AuthorityThe Murrumbidgee Catchment Management Authority is a community-managed statutory organisation established by the NSW Government in January 2004. The CMA is working with the Murrumbidgee community to prioritise and target investment in natural resource management. Overseen by a community-based Board, the Murrumbidgee CMA is preparing a Catchment Action Plan and associated investment strategy in consultation with local government and the catchment’s communities. Given that each major catchment group in the ACT straddles the ACT/NSW border, it is essential that good working relationships between the CMA and the ACT NRM Council are developed and maintained.
